Julie Mango Variety Dwarf Tree Grafted in a 3 Gallon Container. Julie on a scale of one to ten, Jamaicans would rate a solid twelve. In Florida it is sought after for its dwarf growing habit. Like the Ice Cream variety they thrive in more arid climates. The fruit itself is sweet and tangy having somewhat of a pineapple flavor. The fruit ripens late June to July. Does well in containers so can be grown practically anywhere.

Pre-order for the Julie Mango

This box may contain multiple “Julie” mango varieties, all of which essentially taste the same. Julie, Julie Seedling, and Super Julie, for example.

The ‘Julie’ mango, also called ‘Saint Julian’, is a named mango cultivar that was made popular in the Caribbean.

Super JulieĀ mango is a seedling of the Julie mango from the breeding program of Gary Zill in Boynton Beach, FL. A seedling is simply a tree that has been planted from seed instead of grafted. Each time a seed is planted, a new variety is created.

The Super mango is very similar in flavor and texture to Julie mango, but it is typically a little larger and easier to grow. The mango tree loves being close to the coast, but the Super Julie can produce well closer inland.

The flavor is very sweet and the texture is very soft and fiberless. It typically is ready to harvest from June to July.

The total weight of each box varies depending on the size, shape, andĀ massĀ of the fruit:
